"JACK SKELLINGTON, A NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS". TIM BURTON/DISNEY ORIGINAL PRODUCTION STORYBOARD ART. TIM BURTON/DISNEY ORIGINAL PRODUCTION STORYBOARD ART FOR NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS. Framed TWO separate and unique Original Two Tone pages rendered in heavy graphite and watercolor drawing of Tim Burtons Nightmare Before Christmas Jack Skellington Concept Art (Touchstone/Walt Disney, 1993).

THE ART IS IN FINE CONDITION AND IS PRESENTED FLOATED, FRAMED AND GLAZED TO A SIZE OF 19.5 X 16. Tim Burtons Nightmare Before Christmas Jack Skellington Concept Art (Touchstone/Walt Disney, 1993).

They said you were dead, you must be double dead! Says Jack Skellington to Oogie Boogie Man. This is a series of two hand-drawn storyboards by noted stop-motion animator and director, Henry Selick.

In this climactic scene, Oogie catapults away from Jack, only to have Jack grab a piece of string which unravels his entire body. A fantastic set labeled 20c and 20d. Skellington, the main man in a town called Halloweentown stumbles through a portal to Christmas Town and decides to celebrate the holiday, with some dastardly and comical consequences. The art is rendered in heavy thick graphite and watercolor on collaged paper, with each individual piece measuring about 8 x 5.25.

This stop-motion masterpiece was the first animated film to receive an Academy Award Nomination for Best Visual Effects! The Art is in fine condition, newly framed, glazed and matted using 100% archival materials and UV glass. The Nightmare Before Christmas originated in a poem written by Tim Burton in 1982, while he was working as an animator at Walt Disney Feature Animation.

Production started in July 1991 in San Francisco; Disney released the film through its Touchstone Pictures banner because the studio believed the film would be too dark and scary for kids. The film has since been reissued by Walt Disney Pictures, and was re-released annually in Disney Digital 3-D from 2006 until 2009, making it the first stop-motion animated feature to be entirely converted to 3D. Artwork from this film is considered extremely rare! A copy of the original lot description and invoice will be included, and will provide both provenance and authenticity for the art.

As common with production art, the piece is not signed as the origin of the art is for the purpose of making a film. A very stunning piece and showcases very well. Perfect for the collector/lover of The Nightmare Before Christmas/Tim Burton fans.

FRAMED SIZE: 19.5 x 16. (Please also note that the piece is framed and therefore heavy).
