This item was made to mark the 25th anniversary of The Nightmare Before Christmas, a 1993 stop motion animated film from Disney and Tim Burton, with Gemmy Industries serving as a promotional partner. This is the first life-size since 2010 to feature volume control.

Along with the Lifesize Jack Skellington animatronic, the Life Size Sally was displayed in a small Nightmare Before Christmas display to the side of Spirit Halloween stores in 2018. The Life Size Jack Skellington animatronic was also in the above mentioned display. In 2021, the animatronic received a swaying head replacing the blinking eyes along with the intro to the song.
